Why are Americans so obsessed with freedom and individualism?

Okay, so here’s the thing: Americans are raised on the idea that they’re the heroes in their own movie. Independence is everything. It comes from their whole founding story — breaking free from British rule, declaring freedom, waving flags, all that jazz 🇺🇸.

From a young age, kids are taught to “be yourself,” “speak your mind,” and “chase your dreams.” That’s why you’ll see people doing stuff like starting a business in their garage, quitting their job to become a TikTok chef, or naming their kid something like “Zephyr Skye.”

It ain’t arrogance (usually); it’s just deeply woven into their cultural DNA.
