How does Indian culture respect elders and family values?

Ever heard of a family WhatsApp group where even your great-uncle you never met is watching your every story? Welcome to Indian families 😄. We don’t do “nuclear” here. Our families are solar systems—with mom at the center (dad’s somewhere near Mercury).

Respecting elders is not a rule—it’s instinct. We touch feet (charan sparsh), we don’t call elders by their names, and we say pranam instead of hi sometimes. Parents don’t become empty nesters easily ‘cause kids often live with them till marriage—and even after that!
